About the CURECenter
Dr. Craig Backs was 53 years old, obese, and on medication to reduce his cholesterol. Then he had a Carotid Intima Media Thickness ultrasound that showed his arterial plaque. He asked, “What am I missing?” It turns out, he was missing a lot. “The CIMT ultrasound confirmed what I suspected. I have atherosclerosis, the same disease that caused heart attacks in many family members. I sought more options. It turned out there was much more I could do for myself and my patients,” says Dr. Backs. Out of this realization, the CURE Center (formerly known as the Center for Prevention) and CURECoach were born.

The CURE Center is the medical practice where Dr. Backs coaches patients face-to-face and remotely via telemedicine in their personalize CURE Plans.
CURECoach is the company that created and supports CURECoach.App , our mobile friendly secure software platform and process support that coordinates data, communication and coaching for the execution of CURE Plans for Reversible Progressive Cardiometabolic Disease.

Information is uploaded to CURECoach.App to help your CURECoach providers, including the CURE Center, collaborate to optimize your CURE Plan. If arterial disease is found, consultation is offered and with the CURE Center by Zoom or in-person. Testing for root causes is ordered. These tests are reviewed and a Personalized CURE Plan is started.
In most cases, much of the cost is covered by your insurance or Medicare. An affordable cash pay plan is available.
